To those of you trying to decide your future makeup artist course, let me offer you some first hand experience. I found the course material to be very concise and well documented, but what contributed to my finial choice over the other major contenders, and let me say, I did my homework! It was the personal interest, involvement and genuine care that Barbara Layne showed to each student. The class size was intimate allowing for personal instruction that no other Makeup school could offer no matter what they say! As a Photographer myself, the other major deciding factor was being able to build my portfolio throughout the course. Having a fully equipped photographic studio, an extensive range of wardrobe and someone to do light hair—all at my fingertips was invaluable. It gave a whole new dimension to the finished face! It is truly the only way you can critically evaluate your creation and learn to further your art.
